Editor and creator of Nomenus Quarterly, Erik Madigan Heck, created this series for Mary Katranzou’s FW11 collection. These painting-like pieces seemed to be inspired by the late interior paintings of the 19th century French painters Pierre Bonnard and Edouard Vuillard, Heck was “trying to flatten the space between photography and illustration, by eliminating photographic elements and painting on different surfaces and colors in post-production, attempting to move closer towards painting itself, in process and form.” (source)
Mary Katrantzou featured @ Pablo Bronstein Sketches for Regency Living exhibition
This is a groundbreaking exhibition in which, for the first time, an individual artist works across the entire ICA introducing major architectural interventions, as well as choreographing extraordinary art and ballet performances. Throughout the exhibition, existing architecture is embellished with forms that reference the Regency period, while visitors encounter neo-classical structures and daily choreographed performances.
